*Slinks sheepishly into the room*

Yes, I’m still alive, and I’m back, finally. I would like to apologize, first and foremost, for disappearing for over a year. This is unprofessional and inexcusable. Next, I’m going to try to make excuses, of course, but we all know the truth.

The main reason why I haven’t posted is because I haven’t had anything worth posting. No news on Spellwrought, no announcements on upcoming books, no new stories at all, and I’ll admit, I’ve been frustrated by the lack of progress on Spellwrought. I needed some time to relax and decompress. I just didn’t know it would take this long.

I have been writing during this time, just nothing that I can legally sell. I’ve been writing fanfiction for the TV show Person of Interest, which I love more than any show that I’ve ever watched before. It’s about a damaged former CIA operative and a damaged reclusive billionaire computer genius, and the slash practically writes itself. Recently, I’ve been feeling the itch to start writing original fic again, and I know that Moonlight is at the top of the list. Before I get to that, though, I’d like to finish the self-publishing process that I started with Broken Wings. I’m not sure if any of you will even remember what I’m talking about, it was so long ago, but I was working on a cleaned up and edited version of BW that I wanted to offer on Smashwords for a reasonable price.

I’m going to leave the original version up on FictionPress (mostly because I can’t bear to lose the 1,600+ reviews and over 500,000 hits, but it’s also a good marketing tool) and add a few “bonus features” to the Smashwords edition, like character bios and (if I can get my muses to cooperate) at least one piece of unreleased fiction. I might also include the relevant articles from my website, just to have all the information in one place.

Once that is done, and I wrap up the WIP fanfics that I’m working on, I hope to get back to Moonlight. Honestly, I quit working on it because I felt overwhelmed by the upcoming scene, the first and one of only two or three sex scenes in the whole book. Sex scenes are always so hard for me to write, and this one is so important, I psyched myself out and gave myself writer’s block. If I’m lucky, this break will have given me the space I need to continue it.

Again, I want to apologize for going MIA and to thank you for hanging in there and not giving up on me. It feels good to be back and I hope to share much more of my writing with you in the future!
