I’ve posted the first of a series of informative articles about the creatures, people, and places that have been born of my imagination. This first one is about one of my favorite species of people: My Faeries.

Spellwrought is Coming! Leave a comment
I tend to a realistic to pessimistic person, so I’m trying not to get my hopes too high since plans in the past have been derailed due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, but I recently heard from a member of PD Publishing regarding Spellwrought. According to them, the book is 5th in line to be turned into a PDF file, which will then need to be checked over for typesetting errors and formatting problems from the conversion, and then it can be sent off to the printer. It could be available as early as next month, but I put a more conservative release date of August on my website page.
So start saving your spare change! Turn in those bottles and cans, check between the couch cushions, and skip the morning latte so you get your own copy of Spellwrought. If you are planning to order a copy through Amazon, I was hoping we could coordinate and have everyone order their book on the same day. That (in theory) would kick up the Amazon ranking and hopefully get more attention for the book. I’ll be posting more information on this idea as the time draws nearer so keep an eye on my LJ and/or my website.

A Great Review for Sparkles & Strawberries Leave a comment
Literary Nymphs gave Sparkles and Strawberries 4.5 Nymphs and said this: “…I found Sparkles and Strawberries to be an enjoyable read and hope there is more to come for these three dynamic characters.”
Thank you Literary Nymphs!

Avoiding Chalk Outlines Leave a comment
When I was younger and not nearly as wise and mature as I am now, I thought outlining a story would stifle my creativity and kill the story. I was a writer, an artist, a free-spirit. Planning ahead wasn’t any fun. But neither was never finishing anything. I had to decide which was worse, giving up my freedom or languishing among my myriad WIPs.
And then I learned that an outline isn’t a steel cage.
You can read my article on outlining here.
Once Upon a Time, There Lived an Author… Leave a comment
Hello and welcome to my blog. I am author Katica Locke, writer of homoerotic fantasy fiction. If you’re a fan of gay mages and lesbian pirates, bisexual dragons and alien vampires, then pull up a chair. You’ll find free samples of my writing–short stories and links to longer works–in the Writing section of the menu. Feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think–I love getting feedback.
–Note that you need to be of legal age to view erotic and adult themed fiction. By choosing to view these stories, you certify that you are of legal age and will not hold me responsible if you read something you shouldn’t have.–
On my Books page, also in the Writing section, you’ll find information on all my published books. I currently have ten published e-books and one novel in print. Questions, comments, and reviews are all welcome and appreciated.
Periodically, I’ll be posting articles on my writing process and on the various races, creatures, and worlds that live within my imagination. If there’s something you’d like to know more about, head on over to the Articles page and let me know.
I will also be using this blog to announce and promote new books as they are published. I have a new one coming out July 15th–Demons are Forever–which is the fourth book in my Suburban Fantasy series. (I don’t waste any time, do I?)
Thanks for checking out this first post and don’t forget to subscribe to my blog before you leave.
